Marine Radio Licence

Overview:

A Short Range Operators Certificate of Proficiency (SROCP) gives you the qualifications to operate a VHF radio in Australia. This Qualification is essential for boat users going 2 nautical miles out to sea. It is mandatory to have a Marine Radio on board your vessel when travelling 2nm out to sea. It is also mandatory to have a SROCP licence to operate the radio.

Certification:

Short Range Operators Certificate of Proficiency gives you the qualification to operate a VHF radio in Australia. This is an online course where you can do the theory at your own pace and in your own time. We recommend you give at least 4 hours to complete the theory component. Once you complete the online component, you can join one of our marine radio licence courses to complete your invigilated exam and practical component for your SROCP.
